2. Principle

PDF ScanMerger was designed with a strong focus on privacy. The app runs entirely locally on your Mac. No personal data is collected, stored, processed, or transmitted to third parties.

3. Data Collection

PDF ScanMerger collects no data. Specifically:

• No usage or analytics data (no tracking) is collected.
• No crash reports are sent to the developer.
• No personal information (name, email, location, etc.) is collected.
• No files or file contents are transmitted to external servers.
• The app does not initiate any network connections by itself.

4. Local Storage

The app only stores your settings (e.g. preferred folder paths, scan interval) locally on your Mac using macOS UserDefaults. These settings never leave your computer.

5. File Access

PDF ScanMerger uses the macOS sandbox and only accesses files or folders that you explicitly choose—via drag & drop, an open dialog, or a configured watch folder. Access is managed using macOS security-scoped bookmarks.

6. Third-Party Services

The app uses no third-party SDKs, advertising networks, analytics tools, or cloud services.

7. Children

As the app does not collect data, there are no special provisions regarding children. The app is suitable for users of all ages (Age Rating 4+).

8. Changes

If this privacy policy changes, this page will be updated. The effective date is shown at the top of the page.
